We offer a 4 week Introduction to Archery course on Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 11:30am.
The cost is $100.00 per individual ($50.00 for the second person from the same family attending the same session and $40.00 each additional family member).... and the students will be given a 50% reduction on our probationary fee should they decide to become a member at York County Bowmen. If the student would like to apply for membership while attending the course the probationary period will include the time spent in the classes based on the coaches' recommendation.
The course information is as follows ...
For the individual who has never had the opportunity to use a bow and launch an arrow at a target. It begins with the very basics and works through good shooting style and safety issues. After lessons there is time for the student to put into practice what was discussed during the class period. During this time the instructor and/or aides will watch students and offer help and suggestions. Upon completion the student should be proficient enough to score well on a 20-yard target and also be an aware and safe archer.
As value added feature individuals wishing to become a YCB club member will be granted a 50% reduction on the probationary fee. And one more additional benefit, students submitting an application for club membership before the end of the course will be considered at the next Executive meeting with your coach's recommendation.
The cost for this course is $100 for the first person, $50 for the second family member attending the same session and $40 for each additional family member attending the same course.
