Day Camp

The Sherwood Forest Archery Day Camp

school-website photo 2

This camp is to introduce young people between the ages of 11-15 to a Robin Hood experience for one week. Robin lived in the Sherwood Forest and used his skills as a woodsman and archer to his benefit. In this camp we hope to teach the students some of Robin’s skills. We will teach them how to use the bow and arrow, use a map and compass (orienteering), and teach them some basic woodland skills. By the end of the week, they will have the skills that will enable them to be involved in an archery competition that has them walk through the woods shooting targets. They will also have a day hike to an area in the woods where they will use their learned woodland skills.
