1969 - 30th. December

Holless Wilbur Allen was granted a
patent on his invention of the Compound Bow which he had designed 3 to 4 years earlier.

Mr. Allen was a keen bowhunter who was disappointed with the hunting bows of the day and so decided to design a new type of bow for hunting. His original design had 'wheels' that were triangular shaped.

DAY CAMP
This camp is to introduce young people between the ages of 11-15 to a Robin Hood experience for one week. Robin lived in the Sherwood Forest and used his skills as a woodsman and archer to his benefit. In this camp we hope to teach the students some of Robin’s skills.

ARCHERY SCHOOL
For the individual who has never had the opportunity to use a bow and launch an arrow at a target.



It begins with the very basics and works through good shooting style and safety issues.

MEMBERSHIP
Our new clubhouse has six double lanes indoors and our 50 acres of land contains an outdoor target range, a 70m Olympic target, a 14 station field course and two 3D courses with 20 targets (rubber animals) each.  All this is laid out through picturesque mature hardwood and pine forests.
